⅓ cup of vegetable oil
1 yellow onion, chopped
2 tablespoons of salt
Pinch of black pepper cloves
1 ½ tablespoons of nutmeg powder
1 ½ tablespoons of clover powder
1 ½ tablespoons of ground black pepper powder
1 ½ tablespoons of coriander powder (doineya)
1 ½ teaspoons of cinnamon powder (or 2 cinnamon sticks)
1 tablespoons of cumin powder (jeera powder)
1 ½ teaspoons of javentri powder (ground mustard seeds)
2 tablespoons of garlic paste
2 tablespoons of ginger paste
4-5 bay leaves
4-5 pieces of cardamom
⅓ cup of red chili powder (ground; mild spice level)
¼ cup of turmeric powder
2 cups of water
24 oz of beef meat with bone (7 servings)
One Pot Method: In the pressure cooker bowl, add the following spices:
½ cup of vegetable oil
1 diced yellow onion
2 tablespoons of salt
1 tablespoon of black pepper cloves
1 ½ teaspoons of nutmeg powder
1 ½ teaspoons of clover powder
4-5 pieces of cardamom
1 ½ teaspoons of black pepper powder
1 ½ tablespoons of coriander powder (doineya powder)
1 tablespoon of cumin powder (jeera powder)
4-5 bay leaves
1 ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
1 ½ teaspoons of javentri powder
2 tablespoons of garlic paste
2 tablespoons of ginger paste
⅓ cup of red chili powder (mild spice level)
¼ cup of turmeric
2 cups of water (more water comes out of the meat as it cooks so do not add too much)
Add 18 oz of beef with bone into a bowl.
Stir, Stir, Stir: Mix together in a bowl.
Simmer for Hours: Cook in the pressure cooker using the “meat” setting. It may take a few rounds of cooking before the meat thoroughly softens and therefore, several hours until the dish is ready.
